OAI14 Satellite Events

In conjunction with the exciting programme, we are expanding the watch parties from our previous event into a full programme of satellite events!

As the conference covers such a wide range of topics, we invite members of our community around the world to host local events in conjunction with the conference. This could be a traditional watch-party where you get a group together to watch the events of the conference together and host a discussion, or as part of a wider event, using one of the OAI sessions to connect to a local talk about applications or how the issues relate to your local community.

Online or in-person, this webpage outlines the materials and support available for satellite event hosts around the world.

  • Access to branding assets and support promoting the event
Becoming an official OAI satellite event will give you access to the committee and a spot on the website. The committee will also help promote your event using its regular email communications and social media.
  • Access to conference information and session details
The conference committee will provide details of the speakers for each session as well as talking points for each of the different conference session to help shape discussions on each topic in local events
  • Access to session recordings online before anyone else
We recognise that you may not be able to run events concurrently with the main conference and as such all satellite event leads will have access to recordings before they are made available online.
  • Advice and support from the central OAI committee
You will have direct support from a dedicated member of the central OAI committee to develop your satellite event.

Get in touch for an informal discussion about your satellite event ideas, or to register your session: contact@oai.events.
